The audience will have an unforgettable encounter with the Academic Choir of the Warsaw Technical University and its artistic director – Dariusz Zimnick, a well-known Polish choir conductor of Lithuanian origin, born in Punsk. A graduate of the J. Tallat-Kelpša Conservatoire in Vilnius and the F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Zimnickas, a habilitated Doctor of Arts, is an active participant of Polish choral culture. He has been the director of the Warsaw Technical University Choir since 2004, and is also the director of the Warsaw Cathedral Choir and several other choirs.

The University Choir is the winner of Legnica Cantat, the largest choir competition in Poland (2012). It mainly performs a cappella repertoire from different eras, folk songs and opuses by Polish authors. In 2009 the choir performed in Vilnius, in 2012 it took part in the 13th Choir Festival “Lithuania is Precious” in Punsk. On the occasion of the jubilee festival, the choir is coming to Klaipėda – the artistic director promises to surprise the festival audience with Lithuanian works!
