The song “Fairy Tale”, performed by NEDA MALŪNAVIČIŪTĖ, won the hearts of the audience as soon as it appeared. It’s strange to realise that this was a quarter of a century ago… You wouldn’t believe it, because today her songs sound just as fresh and enchanting.
There are voices about which you don’t have much to say, and there are voices for which you want to search endlessly for descriptions. The voice of NEDA MALŪNAVIČIŪTĖ is one of the latter. It is as gentle as the mist of a summer morning caressing your face. Recognisable from the first chords.
“Neda’s popular music programme has its own distinctive style. She is a very talented, high-level musician”, says composer Andrius Borisevičius, author of many of her pop songs.
“When I think of Nedai’s songs, I think of a few ‘best’ ones. I like “Postcard”. “Eilinė diena rojuj” is very well recorded,” said Audrius Balsevičius, another songwriter, composer and lyricist.
It was Neda’s voice that became the key to success, which led to the birth of many pop songs that have become part of Lithuanian music history. “Fairy Tale”, “Another Day in Paradise”, “When You’re Near”, “Postcard”, “Butterflies” and other songs sung by Neda not only have an emotional impact, but also impress with a very high creative and performance bar.
Neda’s pop song programme “Old New Fairy Tale” brings together all her most famous pop songs. The programme features 17 tracks performed by NEDA accompanied by a band.
Neda’s singing is of a very high level of professionalism, and the songs are felt to every note. Such performances are really rare and the listener feels it very clearly.
“Music is everything to me. I didn’t choose music – it chose me. If you take music away from me, my life will disappear” – says NEDA MALŪNAVIČIŪTĖ.
