On 5-6 July 2025, a group of volunteer motorcyclists will organise a “1000 Kilometres of Hope” support ride across Lithuania. The main goal of the ride is to unite, to be together, to support oncology patients, autistic children, their relatives and to share information about:
– St Francis Spiritual and Social Support Centre for Oncology in Klaipėda;
– Centre for Autistic and Developmentally Disabled Children “Behavioural Solutions” / “The Little Prince’s Academy” in Klaipėda.
PUBLIC INSTITUTION ŠV. PRANCIŠKAS ONCOLOGY CENTRE – The main objective of the Oncology Centre is to provide social services, spiritual, psychological and informational support to cancer patients and their family members and relatives in order to alleviate the physical, social, psychological and spiritual consequences of the disease.
The mission of ELGESIO SPRENDIMAI is to provide assistance to children with various developmental and autism disorders and their families. ABA/VB Therapy is a world-renowned applied behaviour analysis/verbal behavioural methodology for the education of children with autism spectrum and other developmental disorders. “Behaviour Solutions aims to create an environment where all people with autism can reach their full potential.
On 5-6 July, a large group of motorcyclists will ride their motorcycles for two days, covering the traditional 1000 km around Lithuania.
We will share our thoughts and hearts with children with cancer and autism and their loved ones, and we will share the rays of LOVE, GOODNESS, PEACE and HOPE. Traditionally, the starting and finishing place is Klaipėda St. Francis Oncology Centre, Savanorių str. 4. During the support march, we will invite volunteers from different cities and towns in Lithuania to distribute information materials. The funds raised from the entry fee will be used for the activities of the St. Francis Spiritual and Social Aid Oncology Centre and the special children’s camp “Roses Planet”.
This march is very important to us, it unites us all in good thoughts and deeds. Our community is experiencing a sense of communion and the joy of souls in this common journey of service. We carry in our hearts the fire of Faith and Hope, which we share with all those in need. The fire grows only as it is shared. Therefore, all the participants in this walk know and believe that what we are doing is important, necessary and indispensable for us, for our neighbours, friends and for all those who care about Humanity.
