“Music of Change” contemporary music festival

The Contemporary Music Festival “Permainų muzika” (“Music of Change”) starts on 15 September. The programme of the festival, dedicated to the 770th anniversary of the founding of the city of Klaipėda, focuses on the presentation of the work of Klaipėda-related artists. There will be premieres of new works, performances by Lithuanian musicians who have previously lived or studied in Klaipėda, concerts by the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra and its artistic director, cellist Mindaugas Bačkus, as well as by other well-known Klaipėda artists.

Kutavičius and Students
The final concert "Kutavičius and Students" is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the prominent Lithuanian composer and teacher. It will be performed by the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, conducted by composer and conductor Vykintas Baltakas.
