Danė square

In heart of the city Klaipėda, next to Danė river renovated square awaits visitors. Square attracts locals for a stroll or has a social coffee break. Square is adjusted for various groups of age and intersts.

In the center of the park, there is an oasis for rest and recreation, and at the end of the square – active zone.
Square offers not only rest, and an active zone, but it has educational purposes as well – here is Klaipėda City’s most important events timeline.

The Eastern part of the square is filled with youth – there is special BMX, skate, and scooter parks, obstacle course.
The middle of the square withholds a colorful dancing fountain and modern form seats with picturesque sight to Klaipėda old town.

From 2. June, until autumn, city residents and guests will have the opportunity to watch the fountain’s music program on the following schedule: fridays – 12:15 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., saturdays – 12:15 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. and on sundays – 12:15 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The 10-minute program will include K. Jenkins’ suites, Palladio’s Part I Allegretto and A. Dvořák’s “Serenade” Part II Tempo di valse.
