Sąjūdis Park was established in 2008 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Lithuanian Self-Reliance Movement. It is located in the southern part of the city, between Laukininkų and Varpų streets.
2018 m. The park has been completely renovated and is perfectly suited for active leisure activities. For BMX riders, skaters, skateboarders, gymnasts, runners, there is a place for everyone in the park. The park has bicycle and pedestrian paths. Children will enjoy a playground with built-in outdoor musical instruments. The playground and all the park’s facilities are accessible to people with reduced mobility. For those who prefer a more passive holiday, benches are available to sit on and enjoy the greenery of nature. The park is also adorned with a sculpture resembling an unfolding ring, created by sculptor S. Mišeikis during the Sąjūdis movement (architect R. Marčius).
