The Central Post Office is currently located at Herkaus Manto g. 7

The post office complex consists of three buildings: a two-storey post office with attics in the centre, two single-storey buildings on either side of it – one of which used to house warehouses and a stable, and the other one was used for storing carriages. The buildings are constructed of red clinker bricks, with green glazed ceramic details decorating the cornices of the plinths, the pediments and the tops of the fence posts. The ensemble displays manifestations of three styles, but the predominant one is Neo-Gothic: high openwork and stepped pediments with pointed openings and niches, three- and four-leaf decorative elements. The ornate outer door of the post office is carved and decorated with a decorative metal grille. The symmetrically arranged buildings (Classical influence) are connected by an ornate metal fence with stone columns. The magnificent interior of the post hall.

Klaipėda Carillon. The first bells in Europe date back to the Middle Ages. The first bell casters were monks, and the word “carillon” was coined at the end of the 13th century.
A set of four bells is already known from the 14th to the 16th century. This set beat the hours on the tower clock. Such bells, which ring for hours, are called kurants. Well, musicians who become bell-ropes are called “eirman” (German)
