On 16 February, we will celebrate Lithuanian State Restoration Day. On this special occasion, the State Ensemble “Lietuva” presents a concert of the best works – from national heritage, Baltic motifs and sung poetry to contemporary music and even classical classics with an air of elegance. The audience will enjoy a tasteful selection of musical genres and styles, which promises not only an uplifting mood, but also unexpectedly revealing pieces from the ensemble’s diverse repertoire. If you haven’t seen the musical performances “Ma\u017evydas”, “Gods and Men”, “The Tale of the Gifted Heart” or other programmes of the ensemble “Lietuva”, or if you just want to repeat them, here are some of the most unforgettable episodes.
The most beautiful dances and musical numbers will be presented to you by the performers of the ensemble “Lietuva” choir, dances and orchestra. They will be joined by Giedrius Arba\u010diauskas, a popular theatre and cinema actor, songwriter and performer, and Monika Marija, the owner of a unique voice and the winner of the TV musical project “Lithuanian Voice”. Even the most discerning will have a different perspective on the ensemble, which is as lively as ever, constantly changing, but at the same time cherishing our living history and values.
This special concert will unite us all – the programme is its own, recognizable and inspires us to be proud of the works of Lithuanian authors and the unique sound of national instruments. Some of the performances will also take you back to such “Lithuanian” projects as the programme with the bards “I Sing You Life”, the collage opera “Ma\u017evydas”, the dance performance “Uncles and Uncles”, “The Tale of the Gifted Heart” or even the French classical-inspired “A Kiss From France”.
Joyful emotions, spectacular dances, songs and much more – in the most cheerful festive programme of the state ensemble “Lietuva”!
