Around 1880-1890, in the port districts, where Spanish, Italian, African, Creole and indigenous cultures met, a new artistic expression &#8211; the tango &#8211; was born out of poverty, longing and a desire to communicate. In the beginning, the tango was danced in caf\u00e9s, snack bars and brothels, accompanied by the violin, guitar or flute&#8230;   <\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Having come a long way from the disdain of the high society to the conquest of Paris, the tango will be heard in Klaip\u0117da, where &#8220;TANGO REVOLUTION&#8221; will be unveiled.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">In today&#8217;s concert, we invite you on a journey from that old, danceable tango, the milonga, to the modern concert tango created by \u00c1stor Piazzolla. It was he &#8211; the king of the new tango &#8211; who fused classical music, jazz and tango into a seamless, expressive form, where you don&#8217;t dance, you listen. <\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">We will hear his famous work &#8220;The Seasons in Buenos Aires&#8221; performed by violinist and arranger Vilhelmas \u010cepinskis with string orchestra. Later, you will see tango dancers on stage, who will bring to life the essence of the dance &#8211; body language, proximity, improvisation. <\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">The culmination of the evening, a surprise for all the participants &#8211; a milonga &#8211; at the end of the programme, you will be treated to a real dance feast where the past, the present and the discovery of the Argentine pulsating rhythm will merge together!<br class=\"html-br\">Klaip\u0117da Chamber Orchestra<br class=\"html-br\">Artistic Director Mindaugas Ba\u010dkus<br class=\"html-br\">Soloist Vilhelmas \u010cepinskis (violin)<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Vilnius Tango Theatre is the only professional repertory tango theatre.
