The evening is centred on a concerto by the world-renowned Chinese composer Tan Dun, written for guzheng (the Chinese zither, similar to the Lithuanian kankle) and string orchestra &#8211; a work that blends the worlds of ancient Eastern traditions and modern music. <\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Tan Dun&#8217;s concerto will be performed by Wu Fei, an exceptional guzheng performer, renowned for her artistry and improvisational skills, and she will be joined by Swedish conductor Leif Karlsson, a well-known contemporary music enthusiast and member of the percussion ensemble Kroumata, as well as the artistic director of the only Lithuanian Symphony Wind Orchestra.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">What is unexpected is that these two artists will also perform improvisations on stage.
