The audience will be delighted by the programme of exceptional guests from the United Kingdom – the vocal ensemble The Queen’s Six, founded in 2008 to commemorate the 450th anniversary of the accession to the throne of Queen Elizabeth I, the name of the ensemble.<\/div>\n
“The Queen’s Six is a celebration of the life of St. The choir is the choir of St George’s Chapel. The chapel choir, made up of girls, boys and twelve professional adult singers, sings at chapel services as well as at private and public ceremonies, often in the presence of the royal family. The six members of the choir – Elisabeth, Thomas, Nicholas, Dominic, Andrew and Simon – have come together to bring their unique musical style to an even wider audience. The ensemble’s wide-ranging repertoire extends beyond the boundaries of church choir performance, from austere Gregorian chant, ornate Renaissance polyphony, passionate madrigals and sensuous folk songs to lively jazz and popular music arrangements. <\/div>\n
2018 m. “The Queen’s Six sang at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (now the Duke and Duchess of Sussex) and at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022. The ensemble has performed at a wide range of prestigious festivals and venues and upcoming tours include returns to the USA, Germany, the Baltic States, Poland and first visits to China and Bulgaria. <\/div>\n
