BONFIRES AND A COMMEMORATIVE CONCERT IN MEMORY OF THE DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM<\/div>\n
We invite Klaip\u0117da residents and visitors to commemorate the Day of the Defenders of Freedom and honour the fighters for the freedom of Lithuania. Let us gather by the light of bonfires, sit together and remember why Freedom is our greatest value.
In Liep\u0173 Street near Klaip\u0117da City Municipality, bonfires will be lit and the energetic rhythms of Freedom will be played by the bands “BIX” and “KAnDIs” (Algirdas Kau\u0161p\u0117das and Viktoras Diawara). The Klaip\u0117da Fishermen’s Palace folk dance group “V\u0117lunga” and the folklore ensemble “Kur\u0161i\u0173 ainiai” from the Ethnoculture Centre will also support the feeling of unity and strength in the concert programme.
The event will be hosted by Klaip\u0117da Drama Theatre actors Justina Vand\u017eodyt\u0117 and Donatas Stak\u0117nas.<\/div>\n
