The oldest mask in the exhibition is 53 years old, carved from aspen when the author was only 14 years old. Some of the first works have already found a home &#8211; three masks are kept in the Plateli\u0173 U\u017egav\u0117ni Museum.  <\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">The bulk of the exhibition consists of traditional masks for Midsummer. The exposition reveals a whole host of characters of the Midsummer masks: the dropsicles, devils, witches, beggars, animal masks, and guillas. Alongside them, viewers will also see newfangled and original interpretations that push the boundaries of tradition.  <\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Each mask has its own character, mood and story. Author Stanislovas Me\u0161kauskas calls them his &#8220;children&#8221; &#8211; all of them are beloved and precious.
