Exhibition \u201cResorts in Klaip\u0117da Before 1939.\u201d<\/strong> The exhibition invites visitors to learn about the history of Klaip\u0117da\u2019s seaside resorts and discover how vacation traditions changed up until 1939. Archival photographs and historical narratives will reveal resort life as it was back then, inviting visitors to look back at the past and appreciate today\u2019s opportunities to enjoy the Lithuanian coast. Organized by the Lithuanian Maritime Museum. The exhibition will be on permanent display.

Together with a professional film crew, everyone will have the chance to experience life on a film set\u2014from actor to camera assistant\u2014and contribute to the creation of a short film. The film crew will be traveling around various locations in Klaip\u0117da all day long, so you might unexpectedly run into them in different parts of the city. The film created during the Sea Festival will be screened on the main stage\u2019s LED screen during the Holy Saturday concert.

A theatrical car presentation during the Sea Festival parade. <\/strong> The one-of-a-kind, handcrafted supercar D\u016aSIA 2 will be transported through the city streets on a flatbed truck and filmed with a retro camera made from various metal parts. At the same time, on the rear deck of the platform, Aidas Klimantavi\u010dius will paint the artwork \u201cThe Dream of Klaip\u0117da.\u201d This is the first and only public unveiling of this unique supercar in Lithuania. <\/p>\n

    In 2026, the Sea Festival invites you to view Klaip\u0117da as an authentic open-air film set \u2014a city-film set where, from the very beginning, real stories have unfolded and real heroes have lived: captains, fishermen, lifeguards, shipbuilders, artists, and travelers. The Grand Sea Festival Parade\u2014one of the festival\u2019s most important and eagerly anticipated events\u2014will this year become a living movie scene, moving through the city from the first minute to the last. This year\u2019s parade is inspired by the theme \u201cJust Like in the Movies,\u201d which will weave together unique stories\u2014from maritime Hollywood and glamour worthy of a movie premiere to adventures at sea and legendary characters.

This year, it\u2019s bigger than ever\u2014three stages featuring different street theater performances, interactive installations, theatrical interpretations of cinema history, and, of course, unforgettable moments. <\/p>\n

    SCENE I \u2013 SILENT FILM.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The \u201cA\u201d Pantomime Theater will reflect the origins of cinema\u2014silent film. The stage will bring to life the distinctive acting style of the legendary filmmaker Charlie Chaplin, his captivating storylines, and the early days of the film industry.

    SCENE II. HISTORICAL AND PERIOD FILMS. <\/strong><\/p>\n

    The LA.TE. Theater troupe will present a performance inspired by historical costume films. Dramatic relationships, spectacular battle scenes, heroic characters, and unexpected twists on the theatrical movie set.

    SCENE III. CONTEMPORARY CINEMA. <\/strong><\/p>\n

    The ARTYN Theater will invite audiences to immerse themselves in an enchanting performance in which the city becomes a film studio for a moment, and everyday life becomes a script. Audiences can expect a lively exploration of cinematic memory, where actors will bring iconic movie lines to life as if they were being spoken for the very first time. One moment\u2014black humor; the next\u2014subtle drama; the third\u2014an absurd dialogue that unexpectedly turns into poetry. Here, film history is not an exhibit, but the raw material from which contemporary performance is born.

    INTERACTIVE CINEMATIC INSTALLATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

    At the Cinema Stories Theater on the street, everyone will be able to become an actor and even perform the most spectacular stunts, which have gone down in cinema history in letters of gold.<\/p>\n

    DANCE IN THE RAIN (from the movie \u201cSinging in the Rain\u201d). <\/strong>Real rain will be pouring down at the intersection of Turgaus <\/strong>and Tilt\u0173 Streets, and under the hanging umbrellas, everyone will be able to climb onto a streetlight and sing: \u201cI\u2019m singing in the rain\u2026\u201d

On board, future sailors and volunteers from various countries around the world gain experience by learning traditional seafaring, sail handling, and teamwork at sea. The sailing ship regularly participates in international regattas, maritime festivals, and educational voyages, fostering classic sailing traditions. The ship is named after the famous Norwegian polar explorer Roald Amundsen. <\/p>\n
