The 32nd Klaip\u0117da Castle Jazz Festival invites you not only to listen to jazz, but also to dance to it!<\/div>\n
On June 27 at 5 p.m. in Dan\u0117s Park, you\u2019ll have the chance to discover one of the world\u2019s most charming social dances\u2014the Lindy Hop. The class will be led by Jazz Fam Lindy Hop Klaip\u0117da\u2014a swing dance studio based in Klaip\u0117da which brings together jazz music and dance enthusiasts, promotes jazz culture, organizes events, and invites people to discover the joy of dance. <\/div>\n

“We invite guests from Vilnius, Kaunas, K\u0117dainiai, and Riga to the jazz festival. But of course, we welcome everyone who has never tried swing dancing before. There will be an introductory lesson during the dance evening, so don\u2019t hesitate to join us\u2014alone, with a partner, or with friends!” says director Saule Jazilionyte.<\/div>\n
Lindy Hop is a lively dance that originated in African American culture and jazz rhythms; it is danced all over the world, regardless of age.<\/div>\n
Jazz enthusiasts come to the port city from all over Lithuania to try their hand at Lindy Hop and have a great time, as these dances captivate with their freedom, enchanting jazz music, opportunities for improvisation, and rich history. Social connection is highly valued here, so dance evenings and events are held regularly, new social dance trends are introduced, and a fun, energetic, and supportive community is growing. <\/div>\n
