Klaip\u0117da is changing, Klaip\u0117da is becoming more beautiful\u2014and this happens there to the extent that people devote their time and other resources to it. But the greatest value is created when everyone does their part to make their city more beautiful:
\u2014some with ideas, some with implementation, some with attention, and others through their support. <\/div>\n
Some start businesses, others teach children, and still others build houses.
Some write books, while others read and quote them.
Some build roads, while others walk, drive, and live along them\u2014and that is how a city and its unique character are created.<\/div>\n
Linas \u0160virinas has been living and working in this city for a quarter of a century. Although he wasn\u2019t born in Klaip\u0117da, it has always been important to him to create and contribute to what helps the city and the community grow. A city that makes music is his main driving force. <\/div>\n
The \u201cGROCK\u201d studio, now in its third decade, has left hundreds of children and young people with memories and experiences: creativity, the joy of making music, and dreams that have given them wings to fly further.
Over the years: 9 festivals, the rock opera \u201cEgl\u0117, Queen of Serpents,\u201d and countless concerts and TV projects.
The studio began offering classes for children with special needs, and more than one miracle has taken place here.<\/div>\n
I\u2019d also like to mention the album of children\u2019s songs titled \u201cThe Best Lullabies of the 21st Century \u2013 By Dads,\u201d which was released by Linas and features songs he wrote himself.
Here, 10 famous dads recorded 10 different songs.
There’s a lot more that could be said, but that’s not what this is about.<\/div>\n
We rarely see Linas on stage, but he has never turned his back on it.<\/div>\n
And so\u2014on July 14 at 7:00 p.m.\u2014you\u2019ll have a rare opportunity to hear him perform in the courtyard of \u201cMemelio Miestas.\u201d The emergence of this new neighborhood and its charm have inspired the musician to invite you to enjoy the architecture, his music, and the sense of community. <\/div>\n
The years change not only the city, but also the people. Linas, who is celebrating his birthday on July 14, wants to treat you to a concert to thank you for your gifts\u2014for our joint projects, shared activities, meetings, conversations, help, inspiration, and attention. <\/div>\n
I hope that \u201cMemel City\u201d will see as many beautiful things as possible that haven\u2019t been there before, and if they have been, that they will be even more striking, memorable, transformative, and unifying.<\/div>\n
