August 1 is a wonderful opportunity to pause, look around, and rediscover what makes Klaip\u0117da so special. It is a city where the cobblestone streets of the Old Town echo centuries of history, where the sea breeze carries mysterious tales, and where people recreate it anew every day through their work and lives. You\u2019ll always want to come back here\u2014for the feeling, the memories, and the special atmosphere. <\/div>\n
We invite you to experience this day with us\u2014in a cozy, lively, and meaningful way. From castle ruins steeped in the spirit of the Middle Ages to Theater Square, filled with music and bustle. A celebration awaits you where the past and present, traditions and the city\u2019s modern energy come together. <\/div>\n
PROGRAMME<\/div>\n
12:00 p.m. A formal flag-raising ceremony for the city of Klaip\u0117da. <\/div>\n
12:00\u201317:00 A historical educational program featuring knightly tournaments, various activities (archery, medieval dances and dance lessons, various outdoor games, etc.), and an introduction to the Curonian way of life. The festival will feature tales of the city\u2019s legends, and visitors will also have the chance to sample the city\u2019s savior\u2014cheese\u2014a favorite food of the Curonians, as well as other ancient delicacies. DJ UraganiuS will set the festive mood. <\/div>\n

5:00 p.m. A formal ceremony to confer the title of Master of Culture of Klaip\u0117da and the title of Honorary Citizen, during which individuals who have rendered outstanding service to the city will be honored. <\/div>\n
7:00 p.m. A festive concert featuring Ingaja, Paulina Pauk\u0161taityt\u0117, and DJ Tomu Boo. The audience can look forward to the most popular songs, a great atmosphere, dancing, and the true spirit of the city\u2019s birthday celebration. <\/div>\n
