On Thursday, August 6, at 6:00 p.m., in the courtyard of the Klaip\u0117da Culture and Communication Center (KKKC) in the courtyard of the Exhibition Hall, 1 Auk\u0161toji St., a creative workshop will be held with Monika Mi\u0161eikien\u0117, founder of the MO MOLIS ceramics studio and ceramic artist. The event is part of the CERAMICS DAYS series.<\/p>\n
During the workshop, held in a cozy space in Klaip\u0117da\u2019s Old Town, we\u2019ll mold and decorate unique bowls with our own hands. Artist Monika Mi\u0161eikien\u0117 will guide us through the process. <\/p>\n
Monika Mi\u0161eikien\u0117 is a ceramic artist who works in Klaip\u0117da at her studio, MO MOLIS. Her work blends natural earth tones, organic forms, and the warmth of handcrafted pieces. The artist is inspired by the slow creative process and the idea that every piece she creates finds its own place\u2014becoming not just an object, but a part of everyday life. <\/p>\n
No experience is necessary\u2014the most important things are curiosity and a willingness to try.<\/p>\n
ABOUT THE “CERAMICS DAYS” EVENT SERIES<\/p>\n
August 5\u20138 The KKKC is organizing a series of ceramics events aimed at exploring the art of ceramics from historical, artistic, and practical perspectives\u2014that is, to introduce Klaip\u0117da residents and visitors to local ceramic artists, the history of ceramics in Klaip\u0117da, and the role of ceramics in the context of contemporary art. <\/p>\n
The series consists of: 1. lectures on ceramics in the context of traditional and contemporary art; 2. ceramics workshops for adults; 3. ceramics workshops for people with disabilities; 4. visits to and tours of ceramic artists\u2019 studios. <\/p>\n
