Garasto Tournament in Klaip\u0117da \u2013 no foreign opponents yet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The 12th edition of the friendly international men\u2019s basketball tournament for the Vladas Garastas Cup will be held at the \u0160vyturys Arena in Klaip\u0117da. The tournament, named after Lithuanian basketball legend V. Garastas, will take place on September 12\u201313 of this year.   <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four teams will compete in this traditional friendly basketball tournament: Klaip\u0117da\u2019s Nept\u016bnas, \u0160iauliai\u2019s \u0160iauliai, Riga\u2019s Zelli, and Baku\u2019s Sabah. This will be the first time that foreign teams participate in this tournament. Next season, all teams will play not only in their domestic leagues but also in international championships: the Baltic clubs will compete in the EuroCup, while the Transcaucasian team will play in the FIBA Champions League.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The teams&#8217; results in their respective national championships last season:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8220;Nept\u016bnas,&#8221; 3rd place in the Lithuanian Basketball League<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;\u0160iauliai,&#8221; 6th place in the Lithuanian Basketball League<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Zelli,&#8221; 3rd place in the Latvian Basketball League<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Sabah,&#8221; 1st place (for the fourth consecutive year) in the Azerbaijan Basketball League<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tournament for the V. Garastas Cup, to be held at \u0160vyturys Arena, is the best opportunity to see for yourself how the clubs are stacked and what to expect from the teams in the new basketball season. Fans and regular followers of this event can once again look forward to many intense and exciting moments. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The friendly basketball tournament will last two days. The winners of the first day\u2019s games will compete the next day for the main trophy\u2014the V. Garasto Cup\u2014while the losers will compete for third place.   <strong>All spectators (except VIPs) will enter \u0160vyturio Arena through the Club\u2019s Entrance No. 3, on the side facing Dubysos Street <\/strong>.
