Here\u2019s to tradition! The wild \u201cOktoberfest\u201d returns to Klaip\u0117da on September 25\u201326. <\/div>\n
The tradition of \u201cOktoberfest,\u201d which originated in Bavaria, has long since spread beyond Germany\u2019s borders and has become a symbol of flavors, music, fellowship, and fun around the world. This year, the Bavarian spirit will take over Klaip\u0117da\u2019s Piliaviet\u0117, where a huge festive \u201cOktoberfest\u201d tent will be set up for two evenings during the last weekend of September\u2014the air will be filled with the aroma of pretzels, music will be playing, and there will be no shortage of games, dancing, fun, and, of course, good company. <\/div>\n

September 25 | Friday <\/strong><\/p>\n

5:00 p.m.<\/strong> Opening of the festival tent.<\/p>\n

6:00 p.m.<\/strong> A walk from Jono Hill to Piliaviet\u0117.<\/p>\n

6:30 p.m.<\/strong> Barrel-opening ceremony in the festival tent.<\/p>\n

6:35 p.m. \u2013 7:05 p.m.<\/strong> The Bavarian music group “JuziBand.”<\/p>\n

8:00 p.m.<\/strong> A contest to see who can hold a one-liter beer mug the longest. Prizes await the winners. <\/p>\n

8:30 p.m.<\/strong> Nijol\u0117 Pareigyt\u0117 and her band.<\/p>\n

9:45 p.m.<\/strong> Contest for the Most Beautiful Bavarian Costumes. Prizes await the winners. <\/p>\n

9:55 p.m.<\/strong> A concert by the band “Memelband.”<\/p>\n

23:00\u201323:55<\/strong> Bavarian disco with DJ DruGys.<\/p>\n
