Until 2017, the place was known as the Triny\u010diai Park. It is one of the most picturesque corners of Klaip\u0117da with its key highlight \u2013 the Mill Pond installed next to the building of the old mill.<\/p>\n<p>The oldest part of the park was mentioned first as early as the 16<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0century, when the pond was formed by damming a branch of the Dan\u0117 River. The mill, standing on the corner of Bang\u0173 Street and Gluosni\u0173 Lane, still bears witness to the origin of the place. In the 18<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0century, the Joni\u0161k\u0117s, B\u016btsargiai and Justenhof manors were building up around it.<\/p>\n<p>Later, when the Triny\u010diai factory began operating nearby, the pond was nicknamed \u2018Triny\u010diai Lake\u2019 and so the park \u2018acquired\u2019 the name \u2018Triny\u010diai Park\u2019 as well.<\/p>\n<p>Today, a bike lane winds in the park, as well as children\u2019s playgrounds, swings and picnic areas are installed. <em><i>The<\/i><\/em>\u00a0<em><i>Blossom<\/i><\/em>\u00a0sculpture (author Jurgis Malinauskas) stands by the pond, marking the geographical city centre that was once there.<\/p>\n<p>The Mill Park is like a leisurely respite of the city, full of greenery, history and a calm rhythm.<\/p>\n<p>Stop by \u2013 time in the city flows differently here.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":4521,"menu_order":627,"template":"","format":"standard","place-category":[198],"restoranu-kategorija":[],"class_list":["post-5823","place","type-place","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","place-category-close-to-nature"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/klaipedatravel.lt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/place\/5823","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/klaipedatravel.lt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/place"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/klaipedatravel.lt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/place"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/klaipedatravel.lt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/place\/5823\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/klaipedatravel.lt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/4521"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/klaipedatravel.lt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=5823"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"place-category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/klaipedatravel.lt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/place-category?post=5823"},{"taxonomy":"restoranu-kategorija","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/klaipedatravel.lt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/restoranu-kategorija?post=5823"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
