\n“EARTH DAY: A LETTER TO THE FUTURE AND A HOME FOR BIRDS”<\/strong>
\nThe KU Botanical Garden invites 5th\u20138th grade students to an interesting and meaningful meeting. This is a special day when day and night are equal across the Earth \u2013 a great opportunity to think about our planet and its future.
\nDuring the event, we will embark on an imaginary journey to the year 2050 and write a letter to the year 2026. What kind of Earth have we managed to create? Have we learned to live in harmony with nature? Or is there still something we need to change today?
\nWe will also learn what happens in nature when spring awakens. KU students will talk about returning birds, their importance to nature, and reveal how bird ringing is done and why it is important to scientists.
\nSince it is traditional to put up birdhouses on Earth Day, we invite you to join in and bring your own birdhouse for future winged residents.<\/p>\n
