Twenty-five years old, the Vilnius Balys Dvarionas Ten-Year Music School’s Student Symphony Orchestra “Simfukai” comes to Klaipėda with Sora Lavorgna, an 11-year-old violin virtuoso from France, who will play the first movement of Felix Mendelssohn’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in E minor, which requires a special virtuosity. Born in Grasse, France, Sora Lavorgna began her musical career at the age of four. She has won various competitions: first prize winner at the Flame Competition in Paris and in the instrumental music category of the French TV show Prodiges, Grand Prix winner at the Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition in Belgium, absolute winner of the Kocian Violin Competition in the Czech Republic, etc. Sora plays the historic 1914 Scarampella violin.
