How to travel by sea ferry?

Ferries to Smiltyne

To get from Klaipėda to the beaches of Smiltyne, the Lithuanian Maritime Museum and the Dolphinarium, and to the Curonian Spit National Park settlements of Nida, Juodkrante, Prielila or Pervalka, you will need to take one of the following ferries across the lagoon.

Old ferry

The Old Ferry Terminal is located in the central part of the city, next to the source of the River Dane into the Curonian Lagoon. The ferries at the old ferry terminal carry people, bicycles and pets (no motor vehicles). Ferries run every hour in the cold season and every half hour in the warm season. There are special ferries from the old ferry terminal that can take you directly to the Lithuanian Maritime Museum and the Dolphinarium.

New ferry terminal

The new ferry (also known as the car ferry) is located to the south of the Gandraliskes housing estate. Ferries from the new ferry terminal operate intensively in both the cold and warm seasons, every 20 and 30 minutes, respectively.

(for cars and buses), as well as for pedestrians and cyclists.
