“The Rain of December – Chopin’s lifelong love story
A two-act ballet inspired by the life and music of the genius composer Frederic Chopin. The stage will feature live piano performances of Chopin’s works.

The ballet tells the tragic romantic story of Chopin and the famous writer George Sand, intertwined with the ups and downs of creativity, the shadows of illness, and a total dedication to art.

The choreographer and director is Kristina Paulin, a former dancer with the Hamburg Ballet, whose work has been presented in Germany, Kazakhstan, Slovakia, the UK and Italy.

The Vanemuine Theatre version in Klaipėda is a special one: it presents a newly created second act that reveals even more of the composer’s inner world.
