What do the Clock Museum courtyard, the cycle track and the Herkus Kantas space have in common? On 13 June, theatre will connect these different places in Klaipėda. Here will be held “Comedia³” – a screening of works by the third year students of Theatre and Event Directing at the Klaipėda Faculty of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.

This year, three young directors – Danielė Kairytė, Ugnė Daukšaitė and Simonas Benediktas Kukys – will use the genre of comedy to talk about identity, choices and human relationships. The audience will see three different sketches: ‘Leons and Lena’, ‘On the High Seas’ and ‘Amphitryon’.

“Leons and Lena tells the story of two young people escaping their fate and finding their own way. In “High Seas”, an absurd survival situation becomes a biting satire on power and human nature. Amphitryon, meanwhile, will draw the audience into a chain of comic identity swaps and misunderstandings, where it becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish what is real.

Programme:

– 16:00 – “Leonsas ir Lena”, Clock Museum Courtyard (Liepų str. 12)

– 18:30 – “On the Open Sea”, Klaipėda Cycle Track (Kretingos str. 38)

– 20:30 – “Amfitrionas”, “Herkus Kantas” courtyard (Naujoji Uosto g. 3)

All performances are free.

Course leaders Árpád Schilling, Paulius Pinigis and Rugilė Latvėnaitė.
