Geordie Greep, who rose to fame as the frontman of black midi, is today considered one of the most intriguing creators in contemporary alternative music. His debut solo album, *The New Sound*, is a collision of jazz, funk, Latin arrangements, art rock, and theatrical pop—constantly surprising listeners with unexpected twists and bold choices.

More than thirty musicians contributed to the album, and some of the tracks were recorded in Brazil with local artists. The tracks are full of both virtuosity and unexpected twists. Greep brings that same energy to the stage, where precision and chaos intertwine in a single performance.
