Klaipėda Choir Aukuras
Artistic Director Tomas Ambrozaitis Conductor Kęstutis Jakeliūnas Klaipėda Choir Aukuras, which has been in existence for three decades, is open to music of various styles, genres and epochs, as well as to cooperation with Lithuanian and foreign conductors. This time, the programme combining classical and contemporary works is being prepared by one of the most active Lithuanian choir conductors Kęstutis Jakeliūnas, founder and artistic director of the Kaunas mixed choir Kamertonas and the vocal ensemble Acusto, and the chief conductor of the Kaunas City and Lithuanian Song Festivals. The acclaimed choirmaster started his musical career in Klaipėda, at the Eduardas Balsis Art Gymnasium, and is always happy to return here.
