Two brothers faced with the break in fate and history – the occupation of Lithuania – chose different paths: one became a partisan, the other a guard. Between them, they were left with a sister who loved them both and whom they both loved. This is the story of post-war Lithuania, told by the grandfather of the choreographer Darius Berulis, which unfolds in a black-earth covered, lantern-lit space reminiscent of a night forest.
The performance invites you to recognise March 11 in yourself. This family drama brings out common human experiences: inner contradictions, loneliness, betrayal, the struggle for one’s values. What would have to happen for your brother, sister or friend to become a mortal enemy? How do you come to terms with the choices of your loved ones? How to protect them?
