The courtyard of the Klaipėda Clock Museum will host an exclusive project where jazz and popular music performer Egidijus Sipavičius and the Klaipėda Brass Quintet meet. In this evening, the composer’s work will take on a new sound – the colours of the quintet’s brass instruments will give the music a wider dynamic range, timbral richness and new interpretative shades.
This programme is an original dialogue between voice and brass ensemble. Sipavičius’ works are revealed through special arrangements that exploit the possibilities of the brass ensemble, from warm lyricism to a vigorous rhythmic pulse. This instrumental interplay creates a concert that combines professional performance culture with the author’s recognisable musical style.
