On September 2 at 5:30 p.m., we invite families to join us for an experiential nature hike in the Klaipėda Forest titled “Traces and Treasures in Nature.”
In the Klaipėda Forest, we’ll embark on a real nature exploration—we’ll look for signs of life and animal tracks, and we’ll learn to identify birds by their calls, tree species, natural treasures, and animal bones and antlers.
During the hike:
• we’ll learn how to navigate;
• we’ll look for hidden checkpoints;
• we’ll examine animal tracks;
• we’ll listen to and identify birds;
• we’ll learn about trees and other natural features.

The event is free. No registration is required. Important: The Klaipėda Summer Stage is currently under renovation, but there are several paths around it that will allow you to easily reach the event venue. The event’s educators are nature guide Goda Mačiūnė, ornithologist Ingrida Lagunavičienė, and biologist Domas Mačiūnas.
Video and photos will be taken during the event.
Be sure to bring clothing and footwear suitable for the forest, water, a hat, insect repellent, and a smartphone with internet access.
If you’d like some tea during the hike, bring your own thermos filled with hot water.The event is funded by the Klaipėda City Municipality.
