7 March at 16.00. The exhibition “Visions of the City” by Klaipėda painters will open in the northern curtin of the Castle Museum (Priešpilio g. 2).
It is not the first time that the artists of the port city have gathered to celebrate the 11th of March in a unique place – Klaipėda Castle Square. This year, painters Juozas Vosylius, Petras Lukošius, Antanas Garijonas, Simas Žaltauskas and Ernestas Žvaigždinas will be presenting their works in traditional oil technique. The content and themes of the exhibition are visions of the city: improvisations with the unique architecture of Klaipėda, the smell of the sea with mirages, landscapes with shorelines and nets, as well as abstract solutions.
The exhibition will run until 5 April.
