Jurga’s timeless work, like the artist herself, has undergone many transformations, but in the face of all changes or challenges, she has always remained faithful to authenticity. This is also the case with her new album Only Me and You, which Jurga invites all those in search of a quality sound to attend the launch concerts.
“Only Me and You is the result of a long, not always easy, but extremely sensitive creative process over the last four years, for which, as she herself admits, she is extremely grateful. During the concert, familiar pieces will be accompanied by a new programme. It consists of many meaningful and warm songs, behind which are the dramas of everyday life, achievements, discoveries, losses and sensitive stories told by other people.
They are inspiring, poetic and full of simple but profound insights. They include the single “Tik aš ir tu” (Only Me and You), released at the end of the summer and already hummed by many, “Svajonė” (Dedicated to the Curonian Spit), and “Plieninis butterys” (Steel Butterfly), created as a source of inspiration for youth aid organisations, “Love, I follow you” written by her father, “With you or without you”, “With you or without you”, the soundtrack of the animated film “Mora Mora” “Home”, which brought her the Silver Crane Award, and other lively sounding pieces.
In the live concert, Jurga will be accompanied by pianist Kęstutis Pavalkis, bassist Rytis Vasiliauskas and drummer Gediminas Stankevičius.
