“The Upside Down Trio” dir. Agnija Šeiko
Inspired by the German playwright Carsten Brandau’s play “The Upside-Down Trio”, Taško Theatre invites you to a movement performance about friendship for the whole family.
Primula and Dudule are a duo with their own established routine, which they trust implicitly. But one day, their lives are turned upside down by Trijulė: she doesn’t care about other people’s order, much less feel obliged to follow it. Her otherness not only provokes Primula and Dudulė to reassess the order they have created, but also reveals that otherness in the world is valuable and interesting. After all, it is not the rules that matter, but friendship based on mutual trust and respect.
The play tells how the third person and his otherness can shatter the routine of life, as if from the sky. However, respect, care and responsibility not only for oneself, but also for the other, help to establish and maintain relationships with people and animals of all kinds that nurture individuality.
