MUSICAL LEGENDS TAKE THE STAGE | KLAIPĖDA CELEBRATES – 55TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LMTA KLAIPĖDA FACULTY
The second concert of the festival organized by the Klaipėda Faculty of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater is a unique opportunity to hear Lithuania’s most prominent musical figures perform on one stage. It is an evening that brings together years of stage experience, pedagogical mastery, and vibrant creative energy.
The stage will feature professors and instructors from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater (LMTA)—performers whose names are inextricably linked to Lithuanian musical culture: Petras Geniušas, Renata Marcinkutė-Lesieur, Zbignevas Ibelhauptas, and Rūta Rikterė, Petras Vyšniauskas and Egidijus Buožis, Sigitas Gailius and Tomas Kulikauskas, Monika Marija Dičiūnė, Tomas Dičiūnas, and Liudas Mockūnas.
The evening’s program will blend classical music and jazz, featuring solos, duets, and trios, with each performance revealing its own unique musical world. The dialogue between different musical experiences, styles, and improvisational freedom promises a unique musical experience.
This is a concert in which the Academy reveals itself not only as a place of study, but also as a vibrant center of Lithuanian musical creativity—a place where unexpected encounters, new sounds, and inspiring artistic ideas are born.
