In August, the Pranas Domšaitis Gallery will host open educational workshops for children (ages 5 and up) and their families. During these sessions, participants will visit the temporary exhibitions and take part in educational activities tailored to them.

Duration of educational activities: up to 1 hour.

Educational activities are free for preschool-aged children and cost 3 euros for schoolchildren. Accompanying adults are admitted free of charge.

Tuesday, August 4, at 11 a.m.: “Picture Puzzles” educational workshop

The young participants will learn to look closely at works of art and notice even the smallest details. After putting together the puzzles, they’ll embark on a discovery tour of Richard Pfeiffer’s exhibition, searching for the originals of the pictures they’ve assembled, honing their powers of observation and hearing the stories hidden within the paintings.

Tuesday, August 11, at 11 a.m.: Educational Workshop “The World of Portraits”

Let’s discover the world of emotions by looking at Jurgis Mikševičius’s portraits! During the educational session, children will learn to recognize emotions and personality traits from facial expressions and hand gestures. In the creative part of the workshop, participants will use the collage technique to create their own unique portraits using geometric shapes.
