Pippi Longstocking is a familiar character from Astrid Lindgren’s first children’s book. It is the story of an extraordinary girl. Almost every child in the world knows her, and girls want to be like her: to wear strange dresses, oversized shoes and, of course, to have their own horse on the veranda. And a real monkey called Mr Nilson.
In the play, you’ll also meet other characters from the book – Peppy’s friends Tommy and Anika, Peppy’s dad, the King of the Negroes, the sea captain Ephraim, the loser robbers, and the pesky policemen. The show is full of music and dancing, with great costumes and scenery. We invite you to watch this adventurous play, which will not disappoint young and adult audiences alike.
Premiere – 10 December 2016
