For the convenience of Klaipėda residents and guests, the working schedules of the fountains in the port city have been published. The water splashes dancing in the fountains will be enjoyed by the citizens of Klaipėda and the city’s guests until autumn. The city’s fountains are normally open until 30 September. If the weather is favourable, the fountains’ operating season is extended for a longer period of time.
Dangė Fountain:
- Open Monday to Thursday – 12.00, 15.00, 18.00.
- The programme prepared by Klaipėda Concert Hall on Fridays – 12.15; 15.00; 19.00, on Saturdays – 12.15; 15.00; 19.00; 22.30, on Sundays – 12.15; 15.00; 19.00.
Until 24 June. TheAtrium’s soundtrack features Cellissimo’s Serenade, Palladio’s Songs of the Journey, Palladio’s Songs of the Journey, Part 3, and Telleman’s Overture.
From 25 June. the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra and the Brazilian virtuoso of the longitudinal flute Rodrigo Calveyra will perform the Overture – Suite in A minor by the Baroque composer Georg Philipp Telemann, two movements from the Suite Palladio by the contemporary British composer Karl Jenkins: Allegretto I and III. Vivace and the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra will perform one of the world’s most famous works for strings “Serenade” Part II Tempo di valse by Czech composer Antonin Dvořák.
Fountain at John’s Hill:
- Open from 12.00. until 22:00 all days;
- The water in the underground fountain dances for 10 minutes every half hour;
- Music is played on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at 12.00, 15.00, 19.00 – music duration 23 min.
“Vaidila Fountain:
- Open from 10.00. until 22:00 all days;
- On weekdays, the water in the pavement fountain dances for 10 minutes – 15 minutes break;
- On weekends, the water in the pavement fountain dances for 15 minutes – 10 minutes break.
As a reminder, fountain water is not suitable for drinking or bathing.
