Klaipėda’s “National Hotel” Joins the Global “Marriott” Network

It has been announced that the “National Hotel,” located on Žvejų Street in Klaipėda, will become part of the global “Marriott” network under the “Design Hotels” brand after its renovation.

This will be the second hotel under this brand in the Baltic States (the first being Hotel “PACAI” in Vilnius). The renovated hotel is set to welcome guests in the spring of 2025.

“This is a significant recognition and responsibility for us. Due to its exceptionally high quality and design standards, this network accepts only up to 5% of hotels applying, ensuring that only the most outstanding properties become part of it. By joining the ‘Design Hotels’ network, we aim to further emphasize the uniqueness of our hotel and showcase Klaipėda’s culture,” said Lukas Kuraitis, Executive Director of BJK, the company implementing the project, in the announcement.

The hotel has been operating in this building since the 19th century. Initially, it was called “Baltischer Hof,” and during the Soviet era, it was known as “Pajūris.”
