Museum Night in Klaipėda 2025

PROGRAM

LNDM Clock Museum (Liepų g. 12):
18:00–19:00 – Opening of the exhibition “Old Masters from Ukraine. Treasures of the Borys Voznytskyi Lviv National Art Gallery.”
19:00–20:00 – Concert by performers from the Ukrainian Culture and Education Center “Rodyna”: folk ensemble “Rušnyčiok,” children’s vocal ensemble “Veselka,” and the vocal trio “Malvy.”
18:00–22:00 – Exhibition “When Clocks Speak…” In a dimly lit, mysterious atmosphere, visitors will explore clocks from various eras.
18:00–22:00 – Educational program “Time and Games” in the museum park. Throughout the evening, both children and adults are invited to take part in outdoor games that develop wit, reaction, and creativity, all themed around time.

Museum of the History of Lithuania Minor (Didžioji Vandens g. 2)
Event: “Between Earth and Sky. In Memory of Čiurlionis and East Prussia”
18:00–21:30
– Creative workshops on papermaking, drawing, and writing, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of M. K. Čiurlionis’ birth. Audiovisual installation “As the Sun Rose” (by Augustinas Našlėnas). Exhibition of watercolors and drawings “Warnings” by Jūratė Bučmytė and Albertas Krajinskas.
22:00 – Opening of the exhibition “In the Spaces of Time. Dedicated to the 500th Anniversary of the Founding of the Duchy of Prussia” in the museum courtyard.

LNDM Pranas Domšaitis Gallery (Liepų g. 33):
17:00–19:00 – Educational activity “Portraits from a Glance.”
17:00 – Guided tour of the exhibition “I Give You Sunny Art. A Collection of Works by Mariia Prymachenko, Evacuated from Zaporizhzhia Regional Art Museum” with a volunteer guide.
17:00 and 19:00 – Guided tour of the permanent Pranas Domšaitis exhibition “Always on the Road.”
18:00 – Guided tour of the exhibition “Antanas Gudaitis. Compositions” with a volunteer guide.
20:00 – Guided tour of the exhibition “Stone of Blood.”

Klaipėda Drama Theatre (Teatro g. 2, by the main entrance):
21:30Scary Storytelling Night. Join Klaipėda Drama Theatre actors under the theater arch to share and listen to chilling tales. Storytellers include Vaidas Jočys, Renata Idzelytė, Mikalojus Urbonas, and Karolina Kontenytė. You will also be invited to share your own scary stories – so be prepared!

Lithuanian Sea Museum’s Ship-Museum M52 “Sūduvis”
(Royal bank of the Danė River, near the Castle Bridge)
20:00“Sea Saga Written in the Waves” – a theatrical event.
Visitors will hear stories from soldiers who served on the Lithuanian Naval Forces’ minehunter M52 “Sūduvis”: tales of service, history, missions, and adventures in the Baltic Sea. The ship itself, as a character, will reveal its past – from its service in Germany to its arrival in Lithuania.
Performed by Klaipėda Youth Theatre actors: S. Lunevičius, A. Bareikis, K. Biržietis, O. Tokarevas.

KKKC Exhibition Hall (Didžioji Vandens St. 2)
Event: Night of Museums at KKKC Exhibition Hall

17:00–21:00 – free admission to exhibitions
18:00–20:00 – creative workshops:

  • “Embroidering Memory” – participants will embroider not on fabric, but on old photographs – personal or from a family archive. Please bring your own photos. No experience is required; all materials and assistance will be provided.

  • “A Secret Wish for Those Who Know How to Wait” – a magical activity for children using phosphorescent paints to create drawings and messages that will only appear once the lights go out.

Please note: the Night of Museums will affect the regular opening hours of KKKC.
