„Gallery 1252“

In celebration of the 770th anniversary of the city of Klaipėda, the Franciscans of the Order of Friars Minor in Lithuania have presented an exceptional gift – an oasis of culture and art in the Monastery of Saint Francis of Assisi in Klaipėda (Savanorių St. 4). The monastery has completed a major European Regional Development Fund-funded project “Complex Development of the Infrastructure of the Centre for the Cultural Diaspora”, which included the installation of an art gallery “Gallery 1252” in the premises of the monastery, where valuable works of Japanese art are stored and displayed, and the renovation and adaptation of the premises for concert, cultural and educational activities.

Address: Savanorių St. 4
