One of the oldest houses in Klaipėda’s Old Town, built at the end of the 18th century, is home to the largest museum of the history of the Klaipėda region. Everything you see and hear here is about the seaside region, which for centuries was known as part of East Prussia. Here you can learn about the pagan and Christian culture of the region, wander through the maps of the old cartographers, and understand how East Prussia and the Klaipėda region were shaped. See the old Klaipėda in postcards and photographs. And for those interested in the crafts of the region, you will see not only what the people of the region used to decorate with, but also what beehives they used to make out of straw for their bees.

Address: Didžioji Vandens str. 2, Klaipėda
