Melnragė Beach I and the North Pier – Where Time Flows Along the Rhythm of the Waves

Once a fishing village, today a seaside haven, where the air is filled with the smell of the sea and relaxation becomes a magical ritual. The hospitable Melnragė Beach I is clean and tidy, as well as it offers all the necessary modern infrastructure: a surfing school, cafes, lifeguards on duty, changing cabins and toilets. On sunny days, it is perfect to enjoy sunbathing here, and on windy ones to watch the rushing waves or power kites in the sky. The soft sand tickles your feet, the wind kisses your cheeks, and your lungs fill with the magical aroma of pine trees.

The North Pier is an ideal place to watch passing ships, sunsets or to drown your thoughts in the ever-changing waves. A sculpture Walk with a Fish stands on the pier. Nearby, you can find the trail connecting Klaipėda with Palanga that starts there, making a great route both for pedestrians and cyclists.

Melnragė is easily accessible from the city centre and is especially popular with young people. Here you will always find things that are the most important: the sea, sand, wind, and that elusive summer feeling that will stay with you for long.
