The Blacksmithing Museum was opened in 1992. On the first floor, most of the space is devoted to material about the blacksmith’s forge of the famous Klaipėda craftsman G. Kackė. The exhibition features an authentic blacksmith’s signboard, a whole showcase of wooden forms made by G. Kackė’s own hands for casting letters and numbers, and the blacksmith’s stamp. The interior of the G. Kackė forge has been restored here.

The exposition also displays gas lanterns, agricultural implements, working tools, and hinges for the forge door made by G. Kackė and other Klaipėda forges.
