“Švyturys” brewery

“Švyturys”, the oldest brewery in Western Lithuania, was founded in 1784. It was founded by Klaipėda merchant J.W. Reincke, who wanted to offer the people of the coastal region such a good beer that they would be proud to serve it to their guests and enjoy it themselves. More than 220 years have passed since then. “Švyturys” beer is accompanied by success.

In 1946, “Švyturys” brewery, rebuilt after the war, started brewing beer. Initially, it was only kegged and transported to the bars in of Klaipėda region. In 1950, a bottling line was installed at the brewery.
