In the very heart of Klaipėda, along the slowly flowing Danė River, stretches the Danė Square – a modern and one of the liveliest open spaces in the city.

Established in 2022, this leisure oasis combines the tranquillity of nature, historical memory and modern urban rhythm. A historical timeline installed on the main path of the square tells the most significant events in the history of Klaipėda from ancient times to the present day. In the eastern part, sports fields, trampolines, playgrounds for children and tracks for scooter and skateboard enthusiasts are installed.

On summer evenings, the square comes to life: a musical fountain with a light and colour show becomes the centre of attraction in the open air. The square is full of people, life and a good rhythm of the city like an ideal postcard reflecting modern Klaipėda.
