The film uses photographs from the archives of Albinas Stubra, Algimantas Kalvaitis, Sofija Kanaverskytė and the History Museum of Lithuania Minor.
The light and sound installation “The Sea in a Time Capsule” by Sonata and Henrikas Žižižius will evoke historical moments.
The exhibition “Karnavalų Močia. Behind the scenes of the work of artist Sofija Kanaverskytė”. The author of the exhibition Agnė Kanaverskytė.

Movie “Rowing across the Atlantic”
One man, one ocean, a century of history…
The true story of Aurimas Valujavičius, the first Lithuanian to embark on one of the greatest challenges of his life – an 8500 km journey across the Atlantic in the rowing boat Lituanica to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the flight of S. Darius and S. Girėnas across the Atlantic. To immerse ourselves in the loneliness and euphoria, the pain and joy, the anxiety and the hope that the Atlantic Ocean will be crossed from mainland Europe to mainland North America and that Miami will be reached victoriously. These are the only thoughts that have been running through Aurim’s mind for several years, and he is setting sail on the open ocean after more than two years of intense preparation for this historic and record-breaking journey.

The parade of traditional and historical ships “Dangės flotilė” is already the 13th event representing maritime culture and fishing traditions of the Pamarians. As if piercing the layers of historical memory, crossing the symbolic boundary of the raised Castle Bridge, wooden sailing boats and crews will present themselves to the citizens and guests.

A spectacular show of dancing fountains, lights and music “Lithuania to the Sea!”. An exclusive 90th anniversary fountain show – a colourful retrospective of the life of the Sea Festival. It is a special creation of water, lights, fire, music and human dance created especially for the anniversary of the Sea Festival. The history of the festival, the dialectic of our memories, experiences and interpretations are revealed through music, water and human choreography, and dialectal testimonies of the inhabitants of different regions of Lithuania, which echo the motto of the first and the current celebrations: ‘To the Sea, all of Lithuania!’.
The fountain show reflects the four eras of Lithuania, Klaipėda and the Sea Festival – the interwar period, the Soviet era, the revival and independence. One of the most memorable highlights of the fountain show will be the dance compositions of the world vice-champion dance studio “Aušrinė” and an impressive 20-metre high lighthouse.

A spectacular show of dancing fountains, light and music “To the Sea All Lithuania!”. An exclusive 90th anniversary fountain show – a colourful retrospective of the life of the Sea Festival. It is a special creation of water, lights, fire, music and human dance created especially for the anniversary of the Sea Festival. The history of the festival, the dialectic of our memories, experiences and interpretations are revealed through music, water and human choreography, and dialectal testimonies of the inhabitants of different regions of Lithuania, which echo the motto of the first and the current celebrations: ‘To the Sea, all of Lithuania!’.
The fountain show reflects the four eras of Lithuania, Klaipėda and the Sea Festival – the interwar period, the Soviet era, the revival and independence. One of the most memorable highlights of the fountain show will be the dance compositions of the world vice-champion dance studio “Aušrinė” and an impressive 20-metre high lighthouse.

23.55 PREMIERE. The HYMN “Aš namie” (I’m Home), created for the event, is played in all the spaces of the Sea Festival.
“Klaipėdos Šventės” presents this year’s anthem “Aš namie” (I’m Home) and its music video. The aim of the song’s authors is to create a song that will be played at every Sea Festival for years to come. We “grow” the city and the city “grows” us. We, the citizens of Klaipėda, are the real sound-makers of the city, the real stars. Wherever we are, whatever difficulties we face, wherever we go, we will always be welcome here, in the home of our hearts and our community, where the sails will carry us, where the lighthouse will show us the way without ceasing.

12.00-17.00 A trip in a time machine to the carnivals of the Sea Festival. The festive processions-carnivals are one of the most colourful highlights of the annual Sea Festival. Nine decades old, the carnivals have brought mermaids, Neptune, daughters of the sun and more. Carnival masks and processions are a perfect mirror of historical times and values. The organisers of the project, the Museum of the History of Lithuania Minor and the Klaipėda Festivities, invite you to travel back in time for three days of the Sea Festival.
Three projects will be on display in the conference hall of the Klaipėda Castle:
The film “Time Machine to the Carnivals of the Sea Festival” (duration 20 min.). The film is directed by Sondra Simana and edited by Edmundas Lukminas. The film uses photographs from the archives of Albinas Stubra, Algimantas Kalvaitis, Sofija Kanaverskytė and the History Museum of Lithuania Minor.
The light and sound installation “The Sea in a Time Capsule” by Sonata and Henrikas Žižižius will evoke historical moments.
The exhibition “Carnival Power. Behind the scenes of the work of artist Sofija Kanaverskytė”. The author of the exhibition Agnė Kanaverskytė.
