A republican museum that invites all visitors and residents of the port city to explore the mysterious world of waters. The museum is located at the northernmost point of the Curonian Spit – Kopgali, where the gates of Klaipėda harbour are open. Twenty-four aquariums present four ecosystems: freshwater, Baltic Sea, North Sea and tropical seas. The aquarium also features an acrylic tunnel, allowing you to observe the inhabitants of the marine waters up close. The museum covers an area of about 13 hectares and also houses a dolphinarium, which is home to penguins, Baltic seals, and Arctic sea lions. The Dolphinarium regularly hosts dolphin and Californian sea lion shows, and since 2015, the Dolphinarium has been hosting dolphin and sea lion educational events. There is a dolphin therapy centre for children with various health problems. The museum building is accessible for disabled people.
