1948 m. The Finnish-built barkentine Meridian sailed the seas for twenty years as a training sailing ship and served as a training ship for future sailors and captains. In 2012, Meridianas was saved from demolition, rebuilt and reopened as a restaurant. Today, Meridianas is an integral part of Klaipėda’s landscape and a symbol of the port city. The main hall of the restaurant has a glass floor under which you can see the old wooden structures of the ship preserved. This is the perfect opportunity to have lunch or dinner while hearing the ship’s unique history.
