On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., we invite you to the Melnragė branch of the Immanuel Kant Public Library of the Klaipėda City Municipality (60 Molo St.) for a literary and musical evening with Giedrius Arbačiauskas.

Giedrius Arbačiauskas is an actor who has been performing on the theater stage for nearly three decades. However, his creative journey is not limited to theater alone—film and television also play a significant role in it. Giedrius’s acting career is multifaceted, and he is constantly seeking new forms of artistic expression.

Another area of his work that is particularly dear to his heart is sung poetry. It is a tribute to the creators of modern Lithuanian poetry and their works. As Giedrius himself says, these poets’ verses “simply sing”!
The program will feature works of sung poetry based on poems by J. Degutytė, B. Brazdžionis, H. Radauskas, A. Jonynas, J. Strielkūnas, D. Saukaitytė, A. Baltakis, V. Mačernis, T. Venclova, Antanas A. Jonynas, D. Kajokas, and R. Burokas. Love poetry by these authors, as well as by J. Marcinkevičius, J. Kunčinas, A. Nyka-Niliūnas, and H. Nagys, will also be read.

This is a moving encounter with Lithuanian poetry, during which words and music merge into a cohesive, meaningful narrative about love, time, humanity, and creativity.

We look forward to seeing you!
